The Open Access Follow-Up Service is currently recruiting professionals who are enthusiastic and motivated. This team consists of five cancer support workers, who are line-managed and provided with support by our Macmillan Patient Support Supervisor.

Roles of Cancer Support Worker:

  • To make a variety of high-quality entrance gates and outdoor furniture
  • Safely use a variety of saws and machinery
  • To ensure work is always carried out to a high standard and all deadlines are met
  • To support the company in providing excellent customer service
  • • Integrate with the team and take advantage of the wealth and knowledge on site to ensure all work orders are to complete satisfaction.
  • • Undergo training and development to meet and maintain customer expectations and quality
  • Comprehensive Training: Employers frequently offer specialized training and professional development opportunities to support workers in order to provide them with the requisite skills and knowledge to effectively assist cancer patients.

Profile

  • Experience in social or health care that is pertinent
  • AfC Band 3 or an equivalent rating
  • Experience in the utilization of data management Experience in multi-professional collaboration
  • Evidence of effective communication abilities
  • Coaching and instructing patients and caregivers
  • Comprehension of the health and social welfare environment
  • Knowledge of managing a patient burden
  • Understanding of cancer treatments, interventions, and language
  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade A-C) or an equivalent qualification
