Roles of Health Care Assistant:
- Establish and maintain communication with a range of people on a range of matters in a form that is appropriate to them and the situation.
- Develop own knowledge and skills and provide information to others to help their development.Monitor and maintain health, safety and security of self and others.
- Maintain quality in own work and encourage others to do the same.Support equality and value diversity, identifying when own or others behaviour undermines equality and diversity.
- Help children and young people meet daily health and well-being needs.
Profile
- Completed care certificate or ability to complete within 6 months of appointment.
- BTEC level 2 or above in health and social care. Interested in undertaking further training.
- Level 3 qualification; BTEC, L3 diploma, A levels.
- Previous experience in: Acute hospital setting. HCA experience. Volunteer sector Teaching Assistant Nursing home carer Experience in a caring role
- Understanding of acute hospital environment and the role of HCA
