The Open Access Follow-Up Service is currently recruiting professionals who are enthusiastic and motivated. This team consists of five cancer support workers, who are line-managed and provided with support by our Macmillan Patient Support Supervisor.
Roles of Cancer Support Worker:
- To make a variety of high-quality entrance gates and outdoor furniture
- Safely use a variety of saws and machinery
- To ensure work is always carried out to a high standard and all deadlines are met
- To support the company in providing excellent customer service
- • Integrate with the team and take advantage of the wealth and knowledge on site to ensure all work orders are to complete satisfaction.
- • Undergo training and development to meet and maintain customer expectations and quality
- Comprehensive Training: Employers frequently offer specialized training and professional development opportunities to support workers in order to provide them with the requisite skills and knowledge to effectively assist cancer patients.
Profile
- Experience in social or health care that is pertinent
- AfC Band 3 or an equivalent rating
- Experience in the utilization of data management Experience in multi-professional collaboration
- Evidence of effective communication abilities
- Coaching and instructing patients and caregivers
- Comprehension of the health and social welfare environment
- Knowledge of managing a patient burden
- Understanding of cancer treatments, interventions, and language
- GCSE English and Maths (Grade A-C) or an equivalent qualification
