Roles of Senior Health Care Assistant:
- The ability to work both independently and as part of the wider Multidisciplinary Team
- Supporting and assisting your consultant colleagues in the smooth running of their clinics.
- Acting as a chaperone.
- Being able to undertake baseline measurements; BMI, blood pressures, blood sugar monitoring, ECG’s, Urinalysis and after training spirometry, venepuncture and/or cannulation
Profile
- Experience within link role for specialist area -eg falls, infection control etc
- Supporting new starters, including inducting them to the clinical environment, supporting competency and care certificate completion.
- Care Certificate is desirable
- Venepuncture and Cannulation
- Clinical Observation Qualification
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 Health and Social Care.
- NVQ/QCF Level 3
- GCSE Maths or Numeracy and Literacy Level 2
